As we scan the SAR / CR / AN index books we will upload them as PDF files. These index books will allow you to investigate the drawings available for most of the rolling stock and locomotives that were inherited or created by Australian National. This will include the historical vehicles that were no longer in use when AN formed. At this stage the PDF files are read only and can be viewed online or "saved as" if you wish to view them when not connected. To save a copy of a PDF you can right click on the file name and select "save target as" and name a location to save the file to on your computer.

"C" Series Drawing Index: (Pre Metric)

This series of drawings cover wagon and carriage stock built by SAR. Most of the index covers rollingstock built from about the mid 1940's but the leading pages in each section are from the pre-6000 number range and start in the early 1930's. We hold most of the drawings listed in the index and will be adding a numeric listing of the drawings we can confirm as being in our possession. Any drawing with an asterisk next to the number was transferred to STA (now Trans Adelaide) and has most likely been sent to the South Australian Archives. You will also note an (A) in brackets along side many drawing numbers. This referred to a temporary location of the drawing and can be ignored. To use this index you need to understand the sections that the drawings were divided into. When you find a drawing you would like to record you need to take the C section number e.g. "01-C" and use it as a prefix to the drawing number e.g. 01-C-6001.
